Mr Thomas,I am not sure if you are the correct person to ask about this or not. Perhaps you can point us in the right direction if not?I am writing about the property behind the Albertsons off Padden Parkway. I understand it used to be a gravel pit. It now has three small ponds. From my research it looks like it is owned by Rock Lake Ranch, LLC. It seems that this property has been "in development" for several years and I have heard that it is slated for everything from a theater, housing and an expansion of the commercial space adjacent to it.My family and several others we have spoken with are very much against seeing that land developed. There is a lot of wildlife there such as Geese, ducks, Herons, Rabbits, fish, etc. that would obviously be displaced. I have never before attempted to stop development like this but feel very strongly that the property would make an incredible park for the community and the fishing there is amazing! Many people already use it for walking dogs, watching wildlife, etc.
Do you have any suggestions on whom we should contact to find out more about this property and voice our concerns?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
