As you are quite aware, I have been away for a month and there have been quite a few name changes in the bunch. Out of curiosity, are you another poster with a new penname. I thought you might be Penny.
You could try some very basic movements and you don't need much space for yoga. There is a book I recommend called Back RX by Vijay Vad. My husband used it to get over a back surgery and fused discs. I hope your health improves!
My flower blossom is a lotus. The lotus blossom starts at the bottom of a muddy pond and grows up through the surface of the water and blooms to life. It represents (for me) overcoming deep hurt, obstacles and enjoying life finally.
Penny, I know what you mean. That's why I decided to tease our celestial one a bit. If you notice, I've cut back on my writings ever since the big discussion with our New York poster...AlanB...who has mysteriously stopped posting. Enjoy your sabbatical from the "C" and have a wonderful holiday weekend, Penny.
Penny, thanks for being the voice of sanity with regards to today's post. As usual, I enjoy your posts as I did today. I'm not going to be feeding the almighty KFC with my points of view any more as just like you and many other posters, I'm worn out with their drivel and "I can conquer the World" mentality with no plan of action. Take care, my friend...and have a wonderful weekend. I hear it will be a tad bit cooler. Yahoo!
Pen- Quinoa is a seed. Although it is considered a grain. Very healthy for you to have in the diet. You can find it in Fred Meyers, Whole Foods (Winco might have it) Here is a link to a cite that might help you on it. I'll admit it can be pricey in some places but it is really good to use: http://www.quinoa.net/
Pen, you have not offended me in any way, shape or form. As far as the spelling of Bin Laden's first name...it's really irrelevant. I just noticed something I shared on the C because I see the national Politically-Correct movement is in full swing, that's all. You have a heart of gold, but I won't tell anyone (lol) because I know you have a feisty side which makes your posts all the more enjoyable.
My dear Penny, I realized after I had hit "post comment," just how wrong my comment sounded. I couldn't agree with you more regarding gill nets or even drag lines in the Pacific Ocean that wipe out entire schools of salmon or other fish. The sad truth is it's all geared around human consumption. Our world population has grown far too quickly for the amount of food available...and with folks like Monsanto who are buying out historic farms in order to develop their GM crops and Roundup-ready crops, the need for food harvest grows. It has become a competition between man and beast when it comes to the California Sea Lions. Pen, the Stellar Sea Lions are on the threatened species list. They are not the ones being eliminated. It's the California Sea Lions which have crossed over the Stellar Sea Lion habitat and are dwindling the sturgeon population in the Columbia. I have witnessed many a time where these "cute creatures" were throwing a 50-year-old or older sturgeon like it was a rag doll, only to find it's remains later on along the shore with just the belly eaten.

Pen have you tried yoga? There are quite a few health benefits and it is low impact like swimming. I practice it every day and it does a lot of good.

Your last comment was deleted by mistake (the one correcting a spelling.)
Could you repost? Thanks.

Pen, is there really any answer to the dilemma?
