An Update on The Columbian’s Coronavirus Coverage
To our readers:
As you know the novel coronavirus crisis has prompted Gov. Jay Inslee to order Washingtonians to stay home as much as possible. Nearly all events are canceled, many businesses are closed and eating and drinking places are restricted. These changes have dramatically affected our business here at The Columbian. Frankly, we have lost most of our advertising support, at least temporarily.
Therefore we must ask people to support us financially if they want to continue to receive our news. Starting today, we will charge people to see most of our coverage of the coronavirus crisis; matters of public urgency, where the public is directed to take action, will still be made accessible to anyone.
