OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The leader of Washington state’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is headed to a new job in Washington, D.C. Lynnae Ruttledge has been chosen by the Obama administration to run the federal vocational rehabilitation program.

Ruttledge says she wants to improve the federal program like she is credited with doing for Washington’s after arriving in Olympia four years ago.

She says she wants people with disabilities to be identified as part of the solution for economic recovery.

The Department of Social and Health Services hasn’t said who will take her place in Olympia.
