PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police in Portland, Ore., are investigating the death of a 15-year-old boy who fell from a downtown parking garage.

Crowds of post-Christmas shoppers filled the sidewalks Monday afternoon when the boy fell from a garage at Southwest Sixth Avenue and Washington Street.

Police Detective Mary Wheat says it’s too early to tell whether the death was an accident or a suicide.

A section of Sixth Avenue was closed for about an hour, TriMet officials temporarily diverted buses around the scene and at least one MAX light rail train was temporarily delayed.
