LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A Suburban rolled over on Interstate 80, killing the driver and a 9-year-old child and injuring five others.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday about 20 miles west of Laramie. Trooper Shane Fox says the driver either fell asleep or was inattentive and drifted off the highway and lost control.

All seven people, including the three children and two adults who survived, were ejected as the Suburban went into a slide and rolled over three times. Fox says no one was wearing a seat belt.

The Highway Patrol didn’t release the names of those involved.

Fox says the family is from Vancouver, Wash., and was traveling through Wyoming after visiting relatives in Maryland.
