DETROIT (AP) — Search warrant records show federal agents seized gas masks, hand grenade instructions, guns, knives, a container of potassium chlorate and dozens of other items during a raid at the home of the suspected leader of a Christian militia based in southern Michigan.

The raid at David Stone’s trailer home in Lenawee County was one of eight residences searched during a 412-hour span in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana on the night of March 27.

Federal prosecutors accuse Stone and eight other members of the Hutaree militia of plotting the mass killings of police officers as a prelude to a larger war against the government.

A message seeking comment was left with Stone’s attorney, William Swor.

AnnArbor.com reported on the search warrant records early Monday.
