PHOENIX (AP) — Phoenix Suns center Robin Lopez remains sidelined with a back injury and the chances of him returning for the playoffs are diminishing.

The 7-footer, out with a bulging disk, was examined by a specialist on Monday. The team released a statement saying that he did not get an epidural injection, is progressing well and was to be re-evaluated in a week.

General manager Steve Kerr says the team is proceeding without him and is “not expecting anything.” As Kerr put it, “It’s really up in the air.”
