LOS ANGELES (AP) — Live from Los Angeles, it’s the ESPY Awards with your host Seth Meyers.
The “Saturday Night Live” comic will oversee the 18th annual awards that honor the year’s top athletes and moments on July 14. The show will be televised live for the first time since 2003 from the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
Meyers says that if you asked anyone he played sports with as a kid, the only way he would appear at the ESPYs is as a host or presenter. He was a presenter last year.
Meyers follows in the footsteps of previous hosts Samuel L. Jackson, LeBron James and Jimmy Kimmel, and Justin Timberlake.
This year, fans will be able to vote on a category during the show, and learn the results on stage.
