EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State says forward Delvon Roe has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
The school says Roe is expected to return to the basketball court in about six weeks following the surgery Friday morning.
Roe injured meniscus cartilage in his right knee during the season. But he delayed surgery — against his parents’ wishes — and played a key role in Michigan State’s run to the regular-season Big Ten title and the Final Four.
The 6-foot-8 Roe will be a junior next season. He averaged 6.4 points and 5.0 rebounds as a sophomore.
