PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Authorities have recovered the body of Jason Sartin, an Eastern Oregon man who had been missing since the fall.

Sheriff John Trumbo of Umatilla County said Monday an autopsy will be performed and the investigation remains active.

According to news reports from November, the 32-year-old from Milton-Freewater went missing after he and a friend went four-wheeling near Tiger Canyon in the Umatilla National Forest.

The friend told investigators he had last seen Sartin driving down a forest road in a pickup.

An extensive search at the time failed to yield any clues, but Trumbo says the missing vehicle was spotted during an aerial search last week.
