PASCO, Wash. (AP) — Jury selection begins Monday in Franklin County Superior Court in the trial of a man accused of gunning down six men in a Pasco auto body shop 22 years ago.

Forty-four-year-old Vicente Ruiz is charged with five counts of aggravated murder and one of attempted murder.

The Tri-City Herald reports the lone survivor of the 1987 shooting identified Ruiz, but defense lawyers say it’s a case of mistaken identity.

Ruiz was extradited from Mexico in 2007. A mistrial was declared in his first trial in a dispute over DNA evidence.
