GRANDVIEW, Wash. (AP) — A specialty fruit processor plans to reopen a food plant in Grandview.

FruitSmart President Jim Early told the city council Monday it would set up shop in a food processing facility that has been vacant for nine years.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports the Prosser company processes fruit ingredients for specialty health juices.

Early says the Grandview plant also will produce juices that are not made from concentrates. It will employ about two-dozen workers.
