RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Police say no tickets or charges are pending against the bicyclist who struck and fatally injured an 83-year-old woman on a trail in Renton.

Spokeswoman Terri Vickers told KIRO-TV the woman stepped in front of the bicycle Sunday on the Cedar River Trail and the rider had no time to respond. Both were knocked unconscious.

The 57-year-old man riding the bike has recovered. The woman died Monday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
