Grandma Lucy is a 9-year-old chow and maybe Australian shepherd mix, who came in as a stray. She is a sweet older gal who would love nothing more than a home to call her own and a yard to sunbathe in. She is gentle and quiet, and loves being brushed and snuggled. If you are interested in giving a senior dog the good life, and if you have kids over 6, come see Grandma Lucy today.

Johanne is a 6-year-old male brown tabby with white domestic short hair. He came to us when his person moved. He has been around dogs and cats and got along well with them. He is used to getting fed once a day since he doesn’t seem to know when to stop. He is a very affectionate and playful boy that seems to love everyone he meets and should do well in any loving home.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
