DNA provides lead in 1971 Klamath Falls murder

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — The murder of a young Klamath Falls woman in 1971 appears closer to being solved.

Joyce Cross was 19 when her body was found bludgeoned to death in the Lost River Diversion Channel.

The case went cold for decades, but was reopened after someone came forward with a tip.
