VANCOUVER — Internationally known quilt collector Bill Volckening will present a free lecture on “Signature Quilts” at the Clark County Historical Museum on Thursday.

Volckening owns more than 75 quilts — including several rare and unusual pieces — and belongs to several quilting groups.

His lecture will focus on the role of research, importance of documentation and the Signature Quilt Project. It is part of the museum’s “First Thursday” series and will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at 1511 Main St.

The museum offers free admission from 5 to 9 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, from February through November.
