CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wesley Silcox tied the arena record to win the bull riding title at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo.

Silcox, of Santaquin, Utah, kept hold of a bull named Kim Johnston to score a 94 in the last ride over nearly two weeks of rodeo.

Silcox earlier scored an 85 and an 81 to lead heading into Sunday’s final round.

In steer wrestling, Cody Moore, of Artesia, N.M., quickly caught up with and muscled over a steer in 9.4 seconds to win the championship. His previous times of 6.6 and 6.2 were among the fastest at the rodeo this year.

Cody DeMoss, of Heflin, La., won saddle bronc riding, scoring an arena-record 91 on top of an 86 and 77. Clint Arave, of Blackfoot, Idaho, won tie-down roping in 12.9 seconds following times of 14.8 and 14.7.
