FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Dutch star Arjen Robben of Bayern Munich will be out for about two months with a thigh injury.

The German club said Tuesday that Robben has a torn muscle in his left thigh. That’s the same injury he had before the World Cup and it apparently never healed properly.

Robben will not be available for the start of the Bundesliga on Aug. 20 and probably will miss the opening round of the Champions League on Sept. 14-15.

Robben returned to the club Monday from a vacation following the World Cup and underwent a routine medical check, where the injury was diagnosed.

The midfielder was out for most of the group stage at the World Cup. The Netherlands reached the final but lost to Spain.
