Library will host talk on what volcano taught us

Volcanologist Cynthia Gardner will give a special presentation at the Vancouver Community Library on Saturday to talk about what’s been learned since the eruption of Mount St. Helens on May 18, 1980.

The event will be held in the Library Hall from 1 to 2:30 p.m.. on Saturday at 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd.

Gardner is the scientist in charge of the U.S. Geological Survey’s David A. Johnston Cascades Volcano Observatory in Vancouver.
