SEATTLE (AP) — A pickup truck was destroyed but the driver escaped injury in a collision with a Sound Transit light rail train in the Columbia City area of south Seattle.

The Seattle Fire Department says the driver got out on his own after the collision just before noon Tuesday.

Sount Transit spokesman Bruce Gray says it’s offering bus service between the Columbia City and Othello light rail stations while the crash is investigated and cleared.
