CELEBRATION, Fla. (AP) — ESPN is selling its BASS fishing organization to a group of investors that includes former TV host Jerry McKinnis.

The network announced Tuesday that it is completing an agreement that would allow the Bassmaster Elite Series and Bassmaster Classic to remain on ESPN networks.

McKinnis hosted “The Fishin’ Hole” on ESPN from 1980 to 2007. The group is also led by retired Time Inc. executive Don Logan and former Deloitte CEO Jim Copeland.

BASS is the largest membership organization of bass anglers in the U.S. with more than 500,000 members. It was purchased by ESPN in 2001 and includes three magazines and a website.
