DALLAS (AP) — The Boeing Co. has lost 26 orders for new airplanes in the past month, including 15 for its new 787 jets that had been ordered by an aircraft-leasing company in the United Arab Emirates.

The aircraft maker has suffered more cancellations than new orders this year for the 787, a plane that has not yet begun flying in commercial service.

Also since last month, Boeing has lost orders for 11 other planes and received two new orders.

A Boeing spokesman says the bulk of the cancellations were made by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.
