BALTIMORE (AP) — Former pitching coach Ray Miller and the late Johnny Oates have been inducted into the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame.

Miller served as Baltimore’s pitching coach in parts of four different decades, beginning in 1978. He coached five different 20-game winners and two Cy Young Award recipients during his 11-year run.

Miller also managed the Orioles in 1998 and 1999.

Oates went 291-270 in 312 seasons with Baltimore, beginning in 1991. He went on to manage the Texas Rangers.

Current Orioles manager Buck Showalter picked No. 26 to honor Oates, who managed Showalter in the minors.

Oates died of a brain tumor in December 2004 at the age of 58. His son, Andy, spoke at the induction ceremony, which took place Saturday night before the Orioles faced the Chicago White Sox.
