ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Texas Rangers third baseman Michael Young was not in Tuesday night’s starting lineup against Tampa Bay because of neck stiffness.

Young left Monday night’s game after six innings because of the neck problem. Young first felt the discomfort when he woke up Monday.

Jorge Cantu replaced Young at third on Tuesday.

Also, the Rangers plan to recall left-hander Derek Holland from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Wednesday night against the Rays.
