SEATTLE (AP) — Proposals for renovating Husky Stadium at the University of Washington in Seattle include dozens of ideas for generating revenue to help pay for the project expected to cost more than $250 million.
Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports the suggestions include serving beer and wine in a new club seating area and selling dozens of naming rights to places such as the ticket office, visitor’s locker room and docks on Union Bay.
The UW picked a development team earlier this month and is choosing among three proposals. The work will include replacing the football field, lowering the seating bowl and renovating stands, concourses and a support building.
