Justice Sanders likely headed to runoff

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Justice Richard Sanders is likely headed into a runoff with Supreme Court challenger Charlie Wiggins.

With about 59 percent of the vote counted, Sanders has 48 percent of the vote, just shy of the more than 50 percent needed for him to win the primary outright and advance to the November ballot unopposed.
