Meeting aimed at getting autistic kids ready for school

Parents and families of autistic students are invited to a discussion Monday about getting their kids ready for the new school year.

The Autism Society of Washington, Southwest Chapter, is hosting the discussion. Parents and professionals will be on hand to help make it informative and fun. Light refreshments will be provided.

The event is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the ARC of Clark County Family Center, 6511 N.E. 18th St. in Vancouver; that’s on C-Tran bus line No. 30-Burton.

Reservations aren’t required but encouraged for planning and child care purposes. Call 360-980-4019.
