SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Lucas Soper pitched a complete game and William Quito knocked in two runs Saturday as Vancouver, Canada, downed Chitre, Panama, 4-2, at the Little League World Series.

Panama had a chance to win in the bottom of the sixth with the bases loaded. But Soper, who was down to his last batter due to Little League pitch count rules, got William Savedra to ground out to end the game.

Soper struck out two and did not allow a walk.

Canada opened a 3-0 lead after Quito singled and later scored on an error in the second, then added a two-run single in the third.

Panama got a run back in the bottom of the third on Francisco Gonzale’s home run. Javier Garcia struck out 10 and took the loss for Panama.
