Waite Park, Minn., scored in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat Vancouver’s Hazel Dell Metro on Monday at the Babe Ruth Baseball World Series for 14-year-olds.
The 3-2 loss leaves Metro at 1-1 with two more pool-play games remaining. The Minnesota team improved to 3-0.
