SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Aaron Juarez scored the go-ahead run on an error and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico took advantage of mistake-prone Manati, Puerto Rico in a 4-2 win Monday at the Little League World Series.

With the bases loaded, second baseman Kelvin Escobar fielded a bouncer but his throw home was mishandled by catcher Victor Valentin, allowing Juarez to score — one of seven Puerto Rico errors.

One batter later, Enrique Penaloza scored after a blooper to short right fell in between three fielders.

Eduardo Mata pitched a five-hitter, striking out Joshuan Sandoval to end a game delayed 70 minutes by rain. Mexico players celebrated by posing for pictures with a large Mexican flag on the mound.

Yomar Valentin, Victor’s cousin, had two hits for Puerto Rico.
