MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — One man is charged with public indecency and another with menacing after a confrontation at a popular skinny-dipping spot in a remote mountain area of southern Oregon.

The Jackson County sheriff’s office said 48-year-old Joe Ward Stone of Klamath Falls, who faces the menacing charge, is believed to have fired a pellet gun repeatedly at 53-year-old Larry Moore, also of Klamath Falls.

The pair were at a rock quarry swimming area Monday near the Jackson-Klamath county line above Ashland, where Stone had accused Moore of indecent acts.

Moore denied the allegations but was charged with public indecency.

Deputies told the Mail Tribune newspaper initial reports that Moore was firing shots at other people while naked proved false.
