MONTESANO, Wash. (AP) — A Grays Harbor County deputy prosecutor was struck on the head by the defendant in a murder case in Montesano.
KXRO reports deputies immediately tackled Roderick Reed and subdued him with Taser shocks after the attack Monday morning on Deputy Prosecutor Gerald Fuller.
Reed was brought back before the bench on Monday afternoon and sentenced to 30 days in jail for contempt of court. He may face an additional assault charge.
The time will be served before proceedings resume in the Tahola man’s murder case. He’s accused of the November 2008 killing of Marlon Lee of Aberdeen who died of burns.
