UN says 800,000 cut off by Pakistan floods

ISLAMABAD (AP) — The United Nations says 800,000 flood victims in Pakistan are only reachable by air and appealed for more helicopters to ferry aid to deliver life-saving assistance.

It said Monday that at least 40 more heavy-lift helicopters were urgently needed.
