NEW YORK (AP) — Stock futures are showing little movement as investors cautiously approach another key housing report and data on durable goods orders.
Major indexes have been hit hard in recent days because of ongoing concerns about the pace of economic recovery.
Traders will be closely watching a report Wednesday about sales of new homes to see if it confirms Tuesday’s data that the housing market continues to falter. Sales of new homes were likely flat last month. Durable goods orders likely rose in July.
Dow Jones industrial average futures are down 6, or 0.1 percent, at 10,017. Standard & Poor’s 500 index futures are down 0.50, or 0.1 percent, at 1,049.30, while Nasdaq 100 index futures are down 3.75, or 0.2 percent, at 1,770.00.
