EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The agent for Minnesota Vikings cornerback Benny Sapp says his client has been traded to the Miami Dolphins.

Andy Simms tweeted the news on Wednesday. Sapp is entering his seventh season in the league. He played in all 16 games last season and started seven of them for the injured Antoine Winfield.

With Winfield healthy, Sapp was competing with youngsters Asher Allen and Chris Cook for the nickel back job. He missed some time early in training camp because of dehydration and the Vikings are high on Allen, a second-year player, and Cook, a rookie from Virginia.

The teams did not immediately says what the Vikings received in return, though The Miami Herald reports that receiver Greg Camarillo has been traded to Minnesota.
