PASCO, Wash. (AP) — Artist Maya Lin is scheduled to speak at Friday’s dedication of sculptures at Sacajawea State Park near Pasco where Lewis and Clark camped in 1805.
The outdoor art called “Story Circles” is part of the Washington Parks Confluence Project along the Columbia and Snake rivers.
The Tri-City Herald reports Lin’s sculptures tell stories about salmon, tribal culture and trade that grew with the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
