Spokane sheriff’s deputy kills prowler suspect

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — KXLY-TV reports a Spokane sheriff’s deputy killed a person in Spokane Valley.

Spokane police, who are handling the investigation, say the deputy was responding to a report of a prowler about 11 p.m. Wednesday at the Plant Farm greenhouse and nursery. Police told KXLY the deputy shot a person in the parking lot.

The deputy is not injured.
