Stevenson — Road closures on Highway 14 near Dog Mountain will end Thursday, as crews wrap up a safety improvement project in the Columbia River Gorge.
The temporary two-hour closures began in April near milepost 54 and milepost 64 to remove loose rock, unstable soil, trees and other debris.
The $3.59 million construction project will conclude next week. But officials say single-lane closures will continue, so crews can complete paving, striping and landscaping. Drivers can expect 20-minute delays Mondays through Thursdays until mid-September.
