WILSONVILLE, Ore. (AP) — A vehicle that lost a wheel and spun into the path of a tractor-trailer rig blocked the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 for nearly two hours Friday afternoon. Three people were injured.

The traffic backup south of Wilsonville, Ore., extended for miles.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue spokesman Walt Peck says one person was airlifted to a trauma center. Two others were transported by ambulance. The Oregonian says condition reports were not available on the injured.

Peck says the three victims were riding in the Jeep that lost a wheel. The big rig driver was not injured.
