BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) — Jordan Dykstra scored 23 points and South Dakota State extended its best start to a season at the Division I level with an 82-65 victory over Nevada on Tuesday night.

Nate Wolters added 14 points for the Jackrabbits (6-0), and Griffan Callahan had a double-double with 13 points and a game-best 10 rebounds. Wolters and Dale Moss had five assists apiece.

Derrell Conner scored 15 points, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range, to lead the Wolf Pack (1-5).

South Dakota State had only a 36-35 rebounding advantage but forced 22 turnovers while committing just eight.

Wolters’ layup with 2:58 to go gave South Dakota State its biggest lead of the half at 41-28, and it was 45-36 at intermission. The lead never dipped below nine after that, and a late 9-0 run turned a 73-62 lead into 82-62 in the final minute.
