FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) — Longwood University says it has suspended women’s basketball head coach Kristin Caruso pending resolution of a personal matter.
The school did not provide any details on the suspension.
Caruso is in her fourth year at Longwood. Before that, she served as the associate head coach at the University of Hartford for five seasons.
Athletics Director Troy Austin said fourth-year assistant coach Gayle Coats would lead the team in its game against James Madison on Thursday night.
