CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) — Dairese Gary scored 15 points to lead four New Mexico players in double digits as part of a 74-59 win over Southern Illinois on Wednesday night.
Phillip McDonald and Emmanuel Negedu each scored 11 points for the Lobos (5-1) while Jamal Fenton added 10.
New Mexico led 33-30 at halftime but widened their advantage in the first 10 minutes of the second half by outscoring the Salukis (3-4) 26-12.
The Lobos finished with 46.3 percent shooting.
Troy Long led the Salukis with 13 points, including three 3-pointers, while Carlton Fay, Mamadou Seck and Kendal Brown-Surles each added 10 points.
