South Florida beats Va. Commonwealth 60-59 in OT

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Hugh Robertson scored a career-high 14 points, and South Florida withstood a furious rally by Virginia Commonwealth en route to a 60-59 overtime victory Wednesday.

Ron Anderson Jr. had 10 points and 13 rebounds for South Florida (5-3). Augustus Gilchrist scored 12 points and Jawanza Poland added 11 for the Bulls, who led by 18 late in the first half.

Bradford Burgess had 15 points and 13 rebounds for VCU (4-2), but he missed a layup in the final seconds of overtime. Jamie Skeen scored 16 for the Rams, who trailed 30-20 at halftime.
