NEW YORK (AP) — Kansas State will play Syracuse in the inaugural Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 30 at Yankee Stadium, the first bowl game in the Bronx in nearly five decades.
The Wildcats (7-5) accepted an invitation to the game late Thursday night, after becoming bowl eligible for the first time since 2006. The Orange (7-5) accepted its first bowl invitation since 2004 earlier in the week.
The contest will mark the first NCAA football bowl game in the Bronx since the Gotham Bowl on Dec. 15, 1962, when Nebraska edged Miami 36-34 at the original Yankee Stadium.
The game will begin at 3:30 p.m. and televised live by ESPN.
