Corrections: Dec. 7

Property taxes: Washougal Mayor Sean Guard owns a $356,856 home for which he paid $4,255 in property taxes this year. A front-page article Sunday was inaccurate.

Local “Wheel” contestant: An item about U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class John Alanis appearing on “Wheel of Fortune” that ran Monday on page D1 incorrectly listed his military rank.

Water filters: A Haitian family pays $5 to buy a bio-sand water filter from the nonprofit Clean Water for Haiti organization. A Page C1 story Friday reported an incorrect price. The filters cost more than that to make, but donors subsidize them.
