FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Laveranues Coles is inactive for the Jets one day after signing for a fourth stint with the team.

Coles filled a roster vacancy created when safety Jim Leonhard went on injured reserve with a broken shin bone Saturday, two days before Monday night’s game between AFC co-leaders New York and the New England Patriots, both 9-2.

For the Patriots, defensive linemen Myron Pryor and Mike Wright and cornerback Jonathan Wilhite were inactive. Pryor missed his fourth straight game with a back injury, Wright was sidelined for the second with a concussion and Wilhite sat out his third with a hip injury.

Coles, whose career began with the Jets in 2000, is fourth in team history with 459 catches. He has 674 catches in his career, including games with Washington and Cincinnati.
