WASHINGTON (AP) — A Marine from Vancouver, Wash., has been killed in Afghanistan.
The Defense Department said Wednesday that 31-year-old Sgt. Jason D. Peto died Dec. 7 from wounds received Nov. 24 in combat in Helmand province.
Peto was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
