Williams has 23 as Miami upsets No. 11 Hoyas in OT

MIAMI (AP) — Riquina Williams scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds to help Miami beat No. 11 Georgetown 81-72 in overtime Tuesday night.

Shenise Johnson added 17 points and six steals, and Stefanie Yderstrom had 14 points and four assists for the Hurricanes (8-1), who won their seventh straight.

Miami outscored Georgetown 13-4 and went 8-for-8 at the free throw line in overtime to snap the Hoyas’ three-game win streak. Georgetown (7-2) hit only 2 of 9 from the floor in the extra period.

Sugar Rodgers, who hit a 3-pointer with 21 seconds left to send the game to overtime, had 22 points and eight rebounds, and Rubylee Wright added 13 points and seven assists for the Hoyas.
