YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Ray McCallum scored 31 points, including nine in overtime, to lead Detroit to a 68-65 victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

Donavan Foster added 12 for the Titans (6-5), who shot only 34.4 percent but still bettered Eastern Michigan’s 30.7 percent. LaMarcus Lowe had 10 rebounds.

Brandon Bowdry had a huge game for the Eagles (1-8) with 31 points and 19 rebounds. Derek Thompson added 12 points, including a 3-pointer with 8 seconds left that sent the game into overtime.

Detroit led 54-48 with 1:49 to go in regulation. But the Eagles got a 3-pointer from Thompson with 1:31 left. After an exchange of free throws, Thompson drilled another 3-pointer to tie it 55-55 and force overtime.

Eastern Michigan edged ahead 59-58 in the extra session, but Lowe sank two free throws with 2:29 left that put Detroit ahead to stay.

The Eagles lost their seventh straight.
